Supported Living

Our Supported Living program provides services to people living in their own home in the community. People receiving services in this area live in a variety of apartment buildings throughout Brookings or own their own house.

People that receive these services live very independently. Staff work with people during the evenings between the hours of 4p-9p and on weekends.

The focus of Supported Living is to build and maintain independence. A typical day in Supported Living involves varying levels of assistance with cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, occupational and physical therapy, laundry, personal cares, medication administration, and physical exercise. In addition, staff assist people with going places in the community, achieving their goals, and building and maintaining relationships.
